Meet the Owner - Jay Reynoso
Jay Reynoso is the owner of JR Electrical Services. He’s been working in the electrical trade for nearly a decade now. He’s always known all things electricity and loves it. When asked what first inspired him to go into business for himself and how his vision has evolved since day one, he says, “Seeing that I was capable of doing bigger scale projects from start to finish, I always figured I could run my own business and get all the other parts figured out. What I really wanted to do was be able to provide opportunities for others. I’d say the only way my vision has changed is that I try to give my people more opportunities and not hold on to every task. It gives people a sense of accountability in the things they’re doing. That’s made me want to be a better leader for the team and for my business.”
​What do you enjoy most about working in the electrical trade?
How everyday could be different and propose a new challenge. There are many different things in the trade you need to know & the more you know the more well-rounded you are.
What’s one project or type of work you really enjoy doing and why?
I enjoy lighting, and seeing new places light up after being dark.
What do you like to do when you’re not on the job?
I play competitive paintball and workout to stay in shape, as well as go on hikes and other outdoor activities with the pups.

Speaking of pups, why did you choose your dog as the company mascot, and what does he represent about your brand and team?
Honestly, dogs are man’s best friend. When I look at my dog, he’s my son. He’s part of the family. So, I put him up there to be friendly and inviting from the outside in and also a reminder of what I personally do it for.
